Our ability to produce collagen declines with age, but not all collagen supplements are alike. Even among those which have been hydrolyzed or broken down into very small protein peptides to make them much easier to absorb, there are significant differences in the types of peptides included and their main effects. While some are oriented more to helping the joints, and others for rebuilding bones, and many may help hair, this particular type has been primarily designed to maintain healthy skin and nails and to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
